Scan to a clean PDF, squeeze a file down to an exact size limit, and get a photo or signature that a portal will actually accept. All of it happens on your phone.

What it does

• Scan and clean. Edge detection, perspective correction and colour filters that make a phone photo look like a scan.
• Hit an exact size. Tell it 20 KB, 50 KB or 100 KB and it works out the quality for you, instead of leaving you to guess.
• Portal presets. Pick the form you are filling — SSC, UPSC, IBPS, NTA, Passport Seva — and the app checks your file against that portal’s published spec and fixes what it can. Every preset links to the official document it was read from, with the date it was checked.
• Read the text. Offline OCR, so you can search your own documents.
• Lock it. An optional biometric lock, because people keep identity documents in a scanner app.

Why offline matters

Most size-reduction and PDF tools are websites. Using one means uploading your Aadhaar, your PAN card or your signed application to a stranger’s server. DocScan India has no server to upload to. There is no account, no analytics and no advertising code, and every feature is free.

Where the portal requirements come from

Each preset’s numbers are read off the portal’s own published instructions: UPSC, SSC, IBPS, NTA and Passport Seva. Portals do change their rules between cycles, so confirm on the official site before you upload.
