Build habits with momentum, not streaks.
Most habit trackers punish one bad day: miss once and the streak reads zero.
HabitFocus keeps a momentum score out of 100 that decays when you miss and never resets, so coming
back after a week away is just coming back. And because the thing a habit competes with is usually
on your phone, it can pause the apps you choose while you work.
What it does
- Momentum, not streaks. A 0–100 score per habit that reflects your real
pattern. A missed day costs a few points; an honest skip costs nothing; four of eight glasses
of water counts for something.
- Focus sessions. Pick a length and the apps that pull at you. Open one anyway
and you get a calm reminder of what you were doing, with “Open anyway” always on
it.
- Scheduled focus windows. “No phone for the first hour”,
“Deep work 9 to 11”, “Wind down before bed” — a session that
starts on its own on the days you pick.
- Goals. A why, a date and a picture of what you are working toward, a few
dated milestones, and the habits that serve it shown alongside.
- Proof, not just charts. Whether focus sessions actually help you finish your
other habits, worked out from your own days; a year of completions on one screen; and after a
rough patch, how quickly you bounced back last time.
- Screen time. Where your hours go, per app and per day, if you choose to grant
usage access.
- Reminders and widgets. One reminder per habit, none if it is already done,
and home screen widgets for your momentum and what is still due.
What it deliberately does not do
No red, no “you failed”, no streak that punishes one bad day, and no countdown before
you can open a paused app. It uses no accessibility service and no VPN, and it reports only to the
person holding the phone — it is not a parental-control or monitoring app. There is no paid
tier: every feature is included.
Privacy
Your habits, goals, history and screen time stay on the phone. There is no account and no
server. The app is free and shows one ad, on the Stats screen, and none for the first three
days — never on Today, on your goals, during a focus session, on the pause screen, or in
a notification or widget. Read the full privacy policy.
