Your home screen, as a set.
Tessera is a set of home-screen widgets in mixed shapes, six looks to switch
between, and wallpapers drawn to sit behind them. Pick a starter layout, add it to your home screen
in one go, and change the whole look with a tap.
What it does
- Widgets you can touch. Weather, a day-ring clock, a focus timer you start from
the home screen, a mood check, a liquid battery, music controls, a quick toggle for the
flashlight or Do not disturb, and a scallop-shaped launcher for six apps.
- Six vibe packs. Clear Glass, Liquid Glass, Chrome Y2K, Soft Clay, Arcade and Night Signal.
Switch, and every Tessera widget on your home screen redraws.
- Starter layouts. Three ready-made layouts, placed one widget at a time with
your launcher's confirmation. If your launcher doesn't allow that, a guide shows how to add
them by hand.
- 35 wallpapers. Glass, liquid, gradient, abstract, AMOLED, pixel and scenic, drawn on
your phone at your screen's size. Preview one with your widgets on top, then set it on the
home screen, lock screen or both.
- Share your setup. A 9:16 card of your layout, pack and wallpaper, sized for
Stories.
- Higher contrast. One switch darkens the glass and strengthens the text on
every widget, and every widget has a spoken description for TalkBack.
What it deliberately does not do
No ads, no account, no sign-in, no subscription and nothing to unlock: everything is in the app
you install. No analytics and no tracking. The weather widget needs a connection, and the forecast
request is the only thing Tessera itself sends.
Privacy
Your moods, focus sessions, chosen apps and settings stay on your phone. To show the weather,
Tessera sends the place you chose, or your approximate location if you allow it, to the
Open-Meteo weather service. Read the full privacy policy.
